Jin et al. developed a new formulation of recombinant BCG vaccine to improve the cake-like appearance and integrity of traditional BCG vaccine. In this vaccine formula, mannitol serves as a bulking agent, and trehalose, sucrose, and sodium glutamate serve as stabilizers.
