The Dawn of a New Era for UK Clinical Research?

The Dawn of a New Era for UK Clinical Research?

28th January 2021

Dear Colleague

We have more reason than usual to dwell on what this New Year will bring to our industry, following the UK’s departure from the European Union and the ongoing Covid19 pandemic.

On 28th January CCRA will host a webinar bringing together senior representatives of Government and regulators to discuss where we are now and the plans that are in place, or being formulated, to ensure that UK Clinical Research remains at the forefront of the global industry and remains an attractive proposition for pharma and biotech.

Lord Bethell of Romford, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) will open the event and will be followed by senior representatives of organisations that have a major impact on the sector.

These events (history below) are designed to encourage interaction so please take this opportunity make your opinion heard.

Further information and registration for the event is available at www.ccra.org.uk.

£90 (CCRA Member) + vat

£135 (Non-member) + vat

We have no doubt that all attendees will leave the webinar with renewed optimism and determination to work together to keep the UK at the forefront of global Clinical Research.

I look forward to you joining us on 28th, and in the meantime, wish you a very Healthy, Happy and Successful 2021!

Kindest regards

Sue

BACKGROUND

Since 2014 the Clinical & Contract Research Association (CCRA) has held a series of seminars entitled U.K Clinical Research: A Professional Awareness Update - events that, we are proud to say, have encouraged and enabled important dialogue within the industry, Government departments and regulators.

In 2017 a second day was added to the seminar programme. Entitled The Landscape for CROs post Brexit this additional content provided a dynamic platform for discussion of the issues affecting the sector pre- and post-exit from the European Union.

Of course, due to current restrictions, our 2021 series of events looks a little different. The 28th January sees us hosting a one day virtual event or webinar, the focus of which will be on the current position of our industry, as well as examination of the threats and opportunities that the future holds for UK Clinical Research.
