Alfa Chemistry Releases a Comprehensive Range of Oxide Nanoparticles

Emerged as potential candidates for a number of scientific applications, which include biomedical and photovoltaic applications, oxide nanoparticles have attracted considerable interest in academia. As a chemical vendor dedicated to the field of material science, Alfa Chemistry announced its offering of a comprehensive range of oxide nanoparticles on June 7, 2022.

After this move, some of the most commonly seen oxide nanoparticles, such as titanium dioxide (TiO2), zinc oxide (ZnO), aluminum oxide (Al2O3), silicon oxide (SiO2), and rare earth oxides, can be easily obtained at Alfa Chemistry.

“In general, a large number of oxide nanoparticles are synthesized using metal targets like iron (Fe), aluminum (Al), titanium (Ti), zinc (Zn), nickel (Ni), copper (Cu), tin (Sn), cobalt (Co), magnesium (Mg), cerium (Ce), bismuth (Bi), yttrium (Y), and gadolinium (Gd),” said a senior scientist from Alfa Chemistry. “Having advantages like elevated surface area, low concentration, and ease of separation after treatment, oxide nanoparticles have become the most widely used nanomaterials in medicine, information technology, catalysis, energy storage, sensors, and many other fields.”

Possible applications of oxide nanoparticles:

Coating preservative

Nanoparticles TiO2 and ZnO have excellent anti-oxidation and anti-corrosion properties, high melting point, ultraviolet shielding ability, and sterilization and deodorization; thus can be added to coatings to enhance corrosion resistance significantly.

Active catalyst and catalyst carrier

Alumina can be directly used as an active catalyst in reactions such as hydrocarbon cracking and alcohol dehydration to ether; meanwhile, alumina nanoparticles are also excellent catalyst carriers.

Electronics industry

Nano alumina can be used as a substrate material for semiconductor materials and large-scale integrated circuits owing to its good electrical insulation, chemical durability, and heat resistance. Nanoparticles SiO2 also have excellent light, force, electricity, heat, and magnetism properties, which are widely used in semiconductors, electrodes, and integrated circuits.

Below are some of the oxide nanoparticles available at Alfa Chemistry:

Hafnium Oxide Nanoparticles (CAS 12055-23-1), Cobalt Iron Oxide (CAS 12052-28-7), Lead Zirconium Oxide Nanoparticles (CAS 12060-01-4), Scandium Oxide Nanopowder (CAS 12060-08-1), Silica Nanoparticles (CAS 14808-60-7), Tin Oxide Nanopowder (CAS 18282-10-5), Indium Hydroxide Nanopowder (CAS 20661-21-6), Aluminium Hydroxide Nanopowder (CAS 21645-51-2), Stannous Oxide Nanoparticles (CAS 21651-19-4), Indium tin oxide (CAS 50926-11-9), Nickel Oxyhydroxide Nanopowder (CAS 55070-72-9), Hollow Silica Nanosphere (CAS 60676-86-0), Nitinol Rod (CAS 7439-98-7), Strontium Iron Oxide Nanoparticles (CAS 12023-91-5), etc.
