International Society of Pharmacometrics Names Pumas-AI Co-Founder Dr. Vijay Ivaturi as President-Elect

Centreville, Va. (December 1, 2022) - Pumas-AI, a science-first organization that turns data into life-saving decisions faster, announced today that Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) Vijay Ivaturi, PhD, has been elected as the next President of the International Society of Pharmacometrics (ISoP). Dr. Ivaturi will serve a one-year term as President-Elect effective immediately and will assume the ISoP presidency in January 2024, for a two-year term.

As President-Elect, Dr. Ivaturi will oversee the development of ISoP’s three-year strategic plan to advance ISoP’s mission for the promotion and advancement of the discipline of pharmacometrics.

“We are excited for Vijay and the future of ISoP as he transitions to the role of President-Elect on our Executive Board,” said Cynthia (CJ) Musante, ISoP President. “Dr. Ivaturi has contributed to advancing our society’s initiatives and the field of pharmacometrics for many years. In addition to his work at Pumas-AI, Dr. Ivaturi is a clinical pharmacologist and pharmacometrician by training, a modeling and simulation platform visionary, and Assistant Professor in the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy at Baltimore. His primary research interest is in developing tools and methods to bridge the gap between decision-makers and scientists, with a special focus on clinical therapeutics in pediatrics, and Dr. Ivaturi’s dosing algorithms are currently being used in pediatric hospitals around the USA.
