SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Asher Biotherapeutics, a biotechnology company developing precisely-targeted immunotherapies for cancer, autoimmune, and infectious diseases, today announced that the company will present two poster presentations at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting 2023, being held in Orlando, Florida, April 14-19, 2023.
A poster highlighting Asher Bio’s lead immunotherapy candidate, AB248, a CD8+ T cell-selective IL-2, will be featured as a clinical trial in progress for the ongoing Phase 1a/b study of AB248 alone and in combination with pembrolizumab in patients with advanced solid tumors who failed prior standard of care treatments. Asher Bio will also present new preclinical data for CAR-T-specific IL-2 and IL-21 therapies demonstrating highly selective delivery of cytokine support to CAR-T cells and enhanced anti-tumor activity via distinct mechanisms. Asher Bio has engineered cis-targeted cytokine fusion molecules that specifically activate only CAR-T cells by delivering either IL-2 or IL-21, while exhibiting minimal activity on bystander cells, to offer the potential for greater activity and durability of CAR-T cell therapy.
