Alfa Chemistry-A New Supplier of Vaccine Excipients, Nucleic Acid Delivery Excipients and SARS-CoV-2 Detection Raw Materials
Alfa Chemistry, known as a chemical supplier for various high-quality chemicals and materials for both academia and the industry, has recently extended its offering scope to vaccine related products, including but not limited to: vaccine excipients, nucleic acid delivery excipients, cell culture media and pharmaceutical packaging.
“Always bearing in mind that what customers truly need is the top priority of all, we aim to bring the most affordable raw materials and excipients for vaccine R&D with no compromise for quality for researchers and companies interested in exploring the potential of vaccines. After years of efforts on research and innovation, we are now able to provide a wide range of vaccine development services as well, in addition to a diversified offering of vaccine products,” said the marketing chief of Alfa Chemistry.
The featured vaccine products supplied by Alfa Chemistry are listed as below:
Nucleic Acid Delivery Excipients
Nucleotide vaccines, including mRNA vaccines with their intracellular antigen synthesis, have been shown to be potent activators of a cytotoxic immune response. However, the intracellular delivery of mRNA vaccines to the cytosol of antigen presenting immune cells remains a huge challenge. To solve this problem, several mRNA delivery strategies have been developed. Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) overcome the major obstacles to the development of mRNA vaccines, enabling the safe and efficient delivery of nucleic acids. Therefore, it has now become the most common non-viral vectors used in clinical practice. Alfa Chemistry now provides four key excipients for LNPs that can be used in nucleic acid delivery, namely, cationic lipids, ph-sensitive lipids, phospholipids and peg lipids. Some of them are listed below: dotap chloride, transfectam, dlin-kc2-dma, peg2000-c-dmg, dc-cholesterol, 12-o-dioctadecyl-sn-glycerol, 12-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-succinate, cardiolipin series, heptaethylene glycol monomethyl ether, methoxy PEG ditetradecylamino, etc .
SARS-CoV-2 Detection Raw Materials
In response to the demand for accurate and early detection of SARS-CoV-2, which is expected to largely reduce the risk of transmission, a group of detection techniques and methods for improving the efficiency of disease diagnosis have emerged. Nucleic acid detection, antigen detection, and antibody detection are key tools for the diagnosis of covid-19. Accordingly, Alfa Chemistry provides nucleic acid detection raw materials, antigen detection raw materials, antibody detection raw materials, and excipients, for use in the diagnostic process. To name just a few here: carrier RNA, RNAse inhibitor, deoxynucleotide triphosphates, guanidine hydrochloride, SARS-CoV-2 Spike Protein (RBD) Monoclonal Antibody, nitrocellulose membranes, dyed microspheres, and more.
Vaccine Excipients
Vaccine excipients comprise all chemical compounds used in the production of vaccines, such as vaccine stabilizers, vaccine emulsifiers, preservatives, and vaccine adjuvants. After years of research, Alfa Chemistry’s outstanding vaccine experts have developed a variety of vaccine excipients for customers, including: vaccine stabilizers, vaccine emulsifiers, preservatives, and vaccine adjuvants.
