ramarketing announces strategic leadership appointments to support global growth
A leading international life science marketing agency has announced a series of new senior appointments to its female-led leadership team across the business to support its ambitious growth plans.
Over 80% of the leadership team at ramarketing is now female as the agency enters a new strategic growth and capability development phase following the successful establishment of a Toronto office last summer.
Two of the agency’s rising stars, Olivia Addinall and Lara Lovenbury relocated to the Toronto office from ramarketing’s headquarters in Newcastle, UK. In a newly created role as Head of Strategy, Lara has been promoted from Account Director to drive the agency’s Strategy offering, which includes strategic discovery.
This is designed to build deeper client partnerships and devise strategies to unlock potential at every phase of a company’s growth. With her leadership skills and strategic expertise, Lara is particularly focused on ramarketing’s growth strategy in North America.
As the new Head of Account Management Olivia will oversee client account management, with a focus on supporting life sciences companies on their growth journey and delighting with a combination of world-class ideas, execution, and client experience that ramarketing is renowned for. Olivia’s strategic thinking and unparalleled industry knowledge make her an asset to the agency and Toronto team.
On the ground in Toronto, Lara and Olivia will be supported by local interns working as Account Executives Grace Gagnon and Rere Akinpel, strengthening the team’s capabilities, and commitment to nurturing the next generation of marketing professionals in North America via an ongoing relationship with Toronto Metropolitan University.
Over in the UK, Newcastle-based Lindsay Baldry has transitioned from Head of PR to Strategic Communications Lead. This move aligns with the agency’s ambitions to support clients in all aspects of their communications, helping to navigate periods of change and growth, including investment rounds, global expansions, and more. Lindsay now plays a pivotal role in the newly established Strategy Team and consults with clients at each phase of their evolution to build value in their brand.
UK-based Catherine Hunter has also been promoted to Head of Business Development within the Commercial team. Having joined the agency less than a year ago, Cat has demonstrated remarkable progress and leadership, finalizing the commercial team's structure by filling an internal vacancy. This promotion reflects ramarketing's dedication to recognizing talent and fostering professional growth from within.
The four senior appointments and two interns solidify ramarketing’s commitment to fostering a diverse workforce, where female leaders have the opportunity to thrive and advance their careers in life sciences.
Emma Banks, CEO of ramarketing, said: “The recent team expansion and appointments across our global operations reflect the success of our growth journey so far and our commitment to investing in our people.
As a female leader myself I am passionate about championing diversity and the value that all genders bring to our workforce and as we recognize International Women's Day across the world, it is apt timing to celebrate the success of the many inspiring women in our team.
With Cat and Lindsay stepping into their new roles, alongside Lara and Olivia's strategic presence in North America, we are poised to further embed and establish key hubs for the agency, our team, and our clients. Their passion, expertise, and dedication to the life sciences industry are integral to our global vision, and I am thrilled about the innovation and growth they will collectively bring to our agency and most importantly, our clients, as we strive to grow together.”
ramarketing’s expansion into Canada and the creation of a designated team in Toronto comes after the successful Boston office opening in 2018 as ramarketing continues to increase its global footprint following private equity (PE) investment from NorthEdge 18 months ago. The agency now has offices across Europe, the US, and Canada, employing 80 people.
The appointments highlight ramarketing’s commitment to employee development and ensuring that its clients have access to a team of highly skilled experts. As the company continues to expand its global presence, nurturing talent and fostering leadership from within remain key priorities.
