ACI Group named finalist for Best Use of Technology in Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Awards
Leading UK distributor and technology innovator, ACI Group has been nominated as a finalist in this year’s Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.
The company, which works with some of the largest global food, health and wellbeing, performance chemical and industrial brands, is one of three businesses nominated for the Best Use of Technology category at the awards. It is the second consecutive year ACI Group has been shortlisted in the category, after winning the SME Business of the Year Award in 2023.
This year’s shortlist was announced ahead of the glamorous black-tie awards dinner, which is to be held on 27th June at the Select Car Leasing Stadium in Reading and hosted by BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing Brendan Cole.
The company’s continual recognition in the awards is evidence of ACI Group’s impressive focus on innovation and driving the industry forward with its in-house Supply Chain Manager (SCM) software, which enables full transparency and visibility for its customers and suppliers via a unique portal.
Karsten Smet, CEO of ACI Group, commented, “We are thrilled to once again be a part of the Chamber’s esteemed awards shortlist of businesses in the Thames Valley region in the Best Use of Technology category.
“We have worked closely with our sister company, Oomph Works, to launch our customer portal, powered by SCM, this year. The software enables customers and suppliers to input supply chain information into the portal, where they can then track all orders from initial production to the final end product – whether that’s at consumer or manufacturer level. It also helps businesses to capture, calculate and report all emissions (both upstream and downstream) in the value chain to estimate their carbon footprint.
“Since last year, we have taken big strides to get where we are today with our technology innovation. We have plenty left in the tank and understand that using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in our solution is not only what our customers want, but what they need to gain leverage over their competitors. Thanks go to the Chamber of Commerce for recognising our commitment and dedication to driving momentum in the supply chain industry!”
Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce is the fifth largest accredited chamber in the UK. Its annual business awards continually recognise the talents, innovation, and entrepreneurship of companies across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Swindon.
