UK’s Largest Menopause Event, PAUSE Live, Takes Major Step Forward for Womankind

PAUSE Live celebrated its most successful event yet on 14th September at The Grand Connaught Rooms, London. With its growing reputation and attendance, the show is already confirmed for its third year, set to take place on October 4th, 2025.

PAUSE Live has firmly established itself as the leading platform for discussions and solutions on menopause, offering expert guidance and support for women navigating this crucial life stage.

The 2024 event featured a range of renowned speakers and a variety of engaging sessions, solidifying its position as a must-attend for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of menopause. Attendees were equipped with invaluable insights on managing symptoms, understanding hormone health, and tackling related issues such as mental wellbeing and workplace inclusivity.

Organiser and founder Charlotte Body says “The show is a passion project born out of my own experience with menopause. I am delighted that I have been able to reach so many women and engage them in a conversation about taking action for their symptoms. We have suffered in silence for too long, in the belief that nothing can be done to help women in menopause which is false.

The show really demonstrates a sisterhood like no other. We build each other up and give the confidence to find solutions to sometimes debilitating symptoms and I am extremely proud of the community we have built. I hope that with each year we get bigger and better and reach more women.”

Each year the show brings to the forefront the key topics everyone is talking about when it comes to women’s health. 2024 was no different with the hot topics taking to the live and educational stages.

Speakers included the psychologist Dr Rachel Jones who is an advocate for a revolutionary approach to menopause, combining mental health and hormone therapy, Dr Jones explains; “Hormonal changes throughout life, from PMS to menopause, are deeply interconnected and can significantly impact mental health.”

Dr Rachel Jones was joined by Dr Shirin Lakhani, also known as ‘Queen of the Vulva’s’ who talked about the physical changes to female bodies and the impact on everyday activities and in particular pleasure. Dr Lakhani says “It’s important to understand your body is changing but there are definitely things you can do to help”.

One particular change for menopausal and perimenopausal women is sexual health. This once taboo subject was discussed at the show with expert Dr Phillipa Kaye, a well known doctor and author who specialises in menopause and has personal experience of cancer and its impact on this life stage. She explains “‘There’s a taboo around female pleasure – and around talking about sex as we get older. If we get more comfortable talking frankly about sex, perhaps we’ll be more comfortable asking for help.”

The show was not just about hormones and hot flushes but also welcomed former model and presenter Lisa Snowdon, alongside podcasters Rants in Big Pants, presenter Cherry Healy and popstar Sinitta to share her experiences and invited women to enjoy the cocktail bar where drinks were aptly named after menopause symptoms.

“The show has many different facets. It educates people about the menopause, perimenopause and what we can expect at this life stage. At the same time, we offer solutions so that women do not feel alone or hopeless. We aim to educate and equip women for what is coming and above all else we want them to feel like they are part of our tribe. We are all fighting for the same thing- a easier and more manageable menopause. The show really brings women together and encourages them to open up and share experiences” says Charlotte Body.

With top speakers, innovative exhibitors, and a supportive community, the show is dedicated to empowering women to take control of their health and wellbeing.

Attendees to this year’s show have positively commented on the event saying; “I would definitely recommend this to anyone going through the menopause as it was a light-hearted and also educational day highlighting the issues and solving them with so much help”

The 2025 event coincides with World Menopause Month, which kicks off today! PAUSE Live invites new collaborators to join forces and help expand the conversation around menopause.
