pobl. Launches MedComms Go! – a Fresh Careers Service for the Next Generation of Entry-Level Talent in and Around Medical Communications

[Wrexham, Wales, 6th March 2025] - pobl. has today announced the launch of 'MedComms Go!,' an early careers service dedicated to supporting individuals who are keen to explore the career options and wide-ranging prospects that agencies in Medical Communications have to offer. The new platform replaces the well-established FirstMedCommsJob, set up and led for many years by Peter Llewellyn.

'MedComms Go!' will offer a variety of practical resources designed to help newcomers navigate and succeed in the medical communications sector, including career information guides, specialized courses, 'a day in the life' profile pieces, an agency directory, and a jobs board specifically for entry-level programmes and positions.

Tom Davies, who founded pobl.work ltd with his roots in talent acquisition and his sights firmly on an exciting future for his new venture, commented: "We're genuinely delighted to have the opportunity to build upon the success of FirstMedCommsJob.com, and sincerely thank Peter for his support throughout the transition," said Tom. "By relaunching as 'MedComms Go!,' our goal is to help talented individuals discover and develop successful MedComms careers. We want to showcase the real choice available to them in terms of roles, organisational cultures and types of work available."

Lindsey Heer, who joined Tom as a Director of pobl. this year after 25 years in MedComms, added: "Engaging with students and graduates is something many of us find rewarding. Listening to Tom's enthusiasm and commitment to advocate for MedComms careers with universities, partner with employers, and challenge generalized perceptions of the recruitment support available is a breath of fresh air. Joining pobl. made perfect sense, and I look forward to hearing ideas and gathering content for MedComms Go!, so it can continue to thrive and grow into an essential resource."

Pobl's plans for MedComms Go! are already benefiting from the support of two key industry partners: Word Monster, serving as the Official Events Partner, and PharmiwebJobs as the Official Podcast Partner. The MedComms Go! events calendar for 2025 will include an international virtual event celebrating MedComms Day in June, for professionals in the industry, and an in-person careers event at the University of Manchester in September.

"The medical communications industry offers incredible career opportunities: A dynamic mix of science, business and connections that last a lifetime. Understanding the field, finding the right agency and landing that first role can be challenging, however, and feels more competitive now than ever before," noted Lindsey. "MedComms Go! aims to provide aspiring professionals with both the knowledge and networks they need to succeed."

The new MedComms Go! website will launch in the coming weeks with more information to follow on upcoming events and how employers can engage with this new service, proudly representing their organisation.
